Skype is now running a brilliant little cross promotional marketing campaign called “Win a Conversation with Coldplay“. Apparently, you can leave a Skype voicemail message for Coldplay and the band will call whoever leaves their favourite message.

Click on the Skype Coldplay button to leave a message and your Skype Name. The band will have a listen and whoever leaves them the best or most interesting message will win a call with Coldplay over Skype.

Intel Not Inside Anymore

Intel Inside” is a goner with “Leap Ahead” being its replacement. The old Intel logo has also been canned. The old logo had been with the company 37 years.

Intel execs say they’re attempting to make a major brand shift to focus more on platforms instead of individual chips. Intel wants to make the leap, no tag line pun intended, to Intel-based computers for home, business and school networks but also to expand into consumer electronics like cellphones.

Google to power search on Motorola phones

Google has struck a deal with mobile handset maker Motorola to provide an easy access Internet search across a range of devices.
Motorola will integrate a Google icon onto select devices so that users can connect directly to Google at the click of a button.

These mass-market, Internet-optimized handsets will be distributed from early 2006 to select Motorola customers worldwide.

Motorola handsets with the Google icon are expected to be available to consumers starting in the first quarter of 2006.
