Love the simplicity of some of these, especially the Windex ad. Great job to these students! Brilliant young minds changing the industry as we know it.

I would have never thought of the doritos.
Great Ad campaigning. I might just “borrow” some ideas…
Comment by Randy Vill... — September 29, 2008 #
the doritos ad is a good idea, very clever and simple but i don’t really think it will work in the ‘real’ world. i don’t think a kid would go out wearing a doritos jacket. i mean… seriously.
Comment by Archivist — September 29, 2008 #
OMG I love Toblerone! In fact, I think I am going to run out and get me one!
Comment by JIff Wilsomn — September 29, 2008 #
I know. it would be a one of a kind.
I meant it as a ad, not a jacket.
My fave is the PSP. BEST PORTABLE GAMING SYSTEM (For now)
Comment by Randy Vill... — September 29, 2008 #
The Toblerone one was totally off message. It delivers damaging brand attributes. ie, Toblerone tastes like a block of concrete.

I like the one for Puma.

Doug,
With that form of straight thinking you would have to say:
-The Doritos would taste like lint.
-The tissues would be coarse like leaves and twigs.
See the idea for what it is. A new way to see things that most people would walk by everyday without giving a second thought.
I can say, every time I see one of those I’ll now think of a Toblerone. Where as before it would have just been an ugly concrete structure.

The powerbar ad is creative, although it is a footlocker ad from almost 6 years ago.

Comment by hanson — October 3, 2008 #
While some of these are certainly clever and creative I find that they also tend to represent the disturbing trend of trying to place advertising just about everywhere in the world. Some might look very cute and work well, but the question is raised: do I need to have a physical object in the real world used to advertise to me just because it exhibits an appropriate degree of resemblance? Use of some of these things in print or other media, however, would be fine, but, in reference to the above comments made about the Toblerone ad (which I enjoyed) I’d rather have the ugly lump of concrete than an advertisement.
Comment by Belgand — October 3, 2008 #

Entradas relacionadas: [...]

The thing that no one seemed to pick up on was that the ideas interrupt as they make use of space that is not used e.g. boring. But I agree with Belgand about everything being used for advertising but if it is entertaining and makes me stop, look and think “hey, how did they do that” then I ma cool with it. This in turn makes you look at the ad for longer (in admiration)
When space is just “filled” with advertising and it isn’t creative then it’s just a waste.
